Futsal Tournament

I played in a futsal tournament for U12 division yesterday. We played 3 games with the top of the teams qualify for final. We won our first game 3-0 and came back to tied the 2nd game 5-5. However, we lost in our final game 6-4. It was very good experience for me!
We will have 2 weeks winter break and practice will be resumed on Jan 3rd.

LAFC 1ST ANNUAL FUTSAL TOURNAMENT

I will playing in a Futsal tournament this weekend. This will be my 1st futsal tournament. It'll very interesting playing 5 vs 5. I will post how I do this weekend.

2nd place...

Silverlake was able to beat CZ Elite yesterday 2-0. We are officially 2nd place this season with a point difference. Currently we are havign our long winter break. The practice will resume on Jan 3 next year. We will be preparing for State Cup which started at the end of January next year.

The Baltimore Bays remain the No. 1 team in Soccer America's ranking of the best boys clubs in the country launched in 2004.
The Bays, who were also first in 2008 and 2009, outdistanced CASL, which moved up to No. 2, LAFC Cosmos, the Michigan Wolves and PDA. A record five MLS teams are ranked.

The Bays Chelsea won the under-15 boys title at the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships for the third year in a row and had teams finish third and fifth in the two 2010 Development Academy age groups at Finals Week. The Bays have won four USYS titles in the last three years to give them a record eight boys crowns.
Forward Michael Gamble was named to the 2010 Development Academy U-15/16 Starting XI. Midfielders Romy Hernandez and Nate Hall have spent time on the U.S. under-15 national team. One of the young Bays players just breaking into the national team program is Tyler Gabarra, son of Jim and Carin Gabarra, both former U.S. internationals.

Last game of the season...

We won our last game of the season 5-0 against FC Manu United. Currently we are 1st place but Silverlake FC has another game left. We are only 2 points apart. Hopefully, they either lost or tie the game this weekend. Then we will become champion. If not, we will be 2nd place with one point behind :(

Lost both League cup games....

We lost both our games today. 2-1 to a silver team and 5-0 to a silver elite team. We are out of the league cup. We will have our last league tomorrow against FC Manu, follow a Christmas/Winter break. Practice will be resume on January which we will play Legend tournament to prepare for the State Cup.

Cyber Monday Sale...

Today is cyber Monday and my dad found a really good deal for me. He bought me a Adidas Adizero F50 FG cleat for me (as Christmas present). The retail price for the cleat is $200+ and we got it for only $79.99(include shipping and tax). It's about 64% off.. This shoes is one of the lightest. It's only 5.8oz. I am very happy. I will post more picture once I receive it.

League Cup Games got postponed

2 league cup games were postponed to Dec 4 due to the rain.

League game this weekend will be postpone til December 5th. We only need to concentrate on the League Cup games on Sunday. However, the weather report showed that it's going to rain. Not sure if all the games will get postponed or not..

Busy Weekend..

It had been a busy weekend for me and Dad, as he had to take me there. :). We played 2 league cup games on Saturday and managed to beat both of them 3-0. We have qualified to 2nd round and will meet 1 Silver Elite team and a Silver team. It's going to be a tough challenge for us. Hopefully we will do good and give them a fight.

We have a 2nd to the last league game on Sunday. We able to beat them 8-1. Currently we are 1 point behind the leader with one game to go. Hopefully CZ Elite can do us a favor with either tie or beat Silverlake FC next week. Then, we have a chance to be champion. ;)

However, it's going to be a tough weekend for us next week. We have all 3 games held on Sunday. We will play league cup game at 9:30 and 12:30pm against 2 higher teams. We have to travel all the way back to our home field for our last game against FC Man United. Hopefully we have enough energy to do this!

League Cup this week..

This is the latest league table. Most of the team has only 1 game left but we still have 2. BTW, league cup will start this Saturday. We will have 2 games this saturday. The winner of group will be qualify to next round. Hopefully we can perform well...

Disappointed tied...

We tied with Silverlake FC with a score of 0:0. As usual, we will able to control the game but couldn't get a goal. Besides, the referee was horrible today. He blew everything against us but our opponents get away with elbowing so many times. Bad.. Bad.. Bad.. I don't think we have a chance to be champion unless CZ Elite able to beat Silverlake in their last game 2 weeks from now. The league cup start next week. We have to play 2 games on Saturday for league cup. On Sunday, we will play Necaxa for the league game. Hopefully we will do well and qualify for 2nd round.

Fortunately, Silverlake got 1 tie and a loss during last weekend. We have to win the rest of our games in order to be #1. Work Hard!!

Disappointing week....

We have 2 games this week. We won against Silverlake Black easily 8-0 on Saturday and faced Santa Anita SC on Sunday. They were able to beat Silverlake (top in our group) 2-1 yesterday. It was a good chance for us if we were able to beat them. They came out strong and continued posing threat to our defense. After 15 minutes, we started settled down and able to control the game. However, we will not able to score. There will so many chances even with one to one facing goalie. Their goalie was in superb form today. With 5 minutes left, they took the advantage of our goalie mistake and scored in a counter attack. We are very disappointed. We need to beat Silverlake next week...

A win and a canceled game...

We supposed to play FC Manu yesterday but the game get canceled because of the field condition. It had been raining for a week already. We played Crown City today. We have a great start and Seth from our team scored in 37 second. Kyle added a 2nd one couple minutes later. At the 2nd half, Ricardo and Austin added 2 more goals and we were able to beat Crown City 4-0 today. BTW, my uncle, Robin from Vietnam was watching me playing this week.. ;)

New Warm-up suit

I just receive my new Umbro warm-up suite today after practice. How do I look with new suit? :)

2nd half of the season...

We have finished the 1st half of the season. We will play our 1st opponent again this week. However, I went to city of hope fund rising fair before the game and somehow hurt my groin muscle. I felt pain during the warmup. As a result, our coach didn't start me. I only play last 10 minutes of 1st half and 2nd half. I am not doing good today. Luckily my team able to beat CZ Elite 1-0. Hopefully, I will recover soon and ready for next game.

Latest league table

Currently we are 2nd place. We still have a chance to tie with Silverlake FC for the 1st place if we beat them on November 6. At this point, we have to win all the games that we have for the rest of the season..

I scored 2 today!!!

After the loss yesterday, we played Necaxa today. They used to be a 3rd place team but dropped to 4th after a loss yesterday. They started with 8 players as some of their players came in late (5 minutes late). I am able to score the 1st goal of the game through a corner kick. Since then, they hardly leave their own half as we controlled the game with 80% possession. After 4 goals upped, our coach started switching us around. I played striker during the last 10min of 1st half. At the last 15 minutes, he put me in as left midfield and I am able to score my 2nd goals to end the game 7-0.
The league cup was released today. It's started on Nov 13. We are put in a group with Hemet Forza FC and SilverLake FC White. 1st place team will qualify to next round and put in a group with teams from silver elite and silver. I hope we can do good this year.

First Loss!!!

We lost to SilverLake today with a score of 2-0. Did we play bad? No.. We were at their half majority of time and control the ball 70% of time. We just couldn't get a goal. Our goalie made a major mistake at the end of each half and let them scored. The ref was horrible n didn't even show a card when our opponents tackle recklessly on one of our players.. They are bigger in size and played very physical. Well, we need to work harder next time and beat them.

Silverlake FC beat Necaxa today 4-1. It will be very important for us to beat them next week to keep our No.1 position...

Fighting hard...

We played Santa Anita yesterday. This team is very physical and they are all big kids. We were having hard time fighting for possession and tried to control the game. However, we were able to win 2-0. I will post the table later today or tomorrow since there are some games played on Sunday. Next week is a big week. We will play Silverlake FC (the other 1st place team) on Saturday and Necaxa (3rd place team) on Sunday.

Scorching hot today....

It had been scorching hot since Saturday, averaging 105-108 degree F. All my trainings today have been cancel or postponed. Hopefully it will get cooler soon. This is the latest league table:

Win against Silverlake FC black

We played Silverlake FC black this week. It's one of the weak teams in our bracket. At the half time, we are already 6-0 up. At the 2nd half, coach switch our defense and make their offense and vice versa. I was also given a chance to play striker, which I have asked coach for a while ;). However, I am very upset at the end. I have 4-5 chances to score but none of them get in, or hit the post. Even our goalie scored at the end of game as coach put him as forward next to me. At the end, we won 9-0 but I am not happy at all..

2nd Week of CSL..

We won our 3rd game of the season. We beat Crown City United 4-0. We didn't play good today. We managed to maintain 1-0 lead until the last 20 minutes of 2nd half. We finally able to extend the lead to more goals. Our defense played horrible. Hopefully we will do better next week against Silverlake FC Black. This is the latest league table:

New Uniform!!!

I finally got my new uniform today. Well, only part of them. We are still waiting for the other set (blue) to arrive. Let me post what I got right now. BTW, I got #17 this year :( This is because uniform with #10 was too small for me.

Won our 2nd game!

We played our 2nd game against FC Man United White. We are able to beat them easily with a score of 9-0. BTW, We will probably going to get our uniform tomorrow. Hopefully it looks very nice n cool.. I will post it once I receive it. This is the league table after 2 games this week:

1st game - CSL League

We started our 1st game of this season playing against CZ Elite. As usual, we did not start very well. They were able to score 1st around 15 minutes of the 1st half. We came back to tie the game from a indirect free kick inside their penalty box. At 2nd half, we were able to play much better and scored 2 more goals to win the game.
We will have another game tomorrow against FC Man United White at Walnut. I will update my blog again after the game. Hopefully, I can post the league table at the same time.

2010 NHB Cup Finalist

We lost our final game to FC Golden State 1-0. It was a very windy day and tough to control the ball. The FC Golden State played very tough and dirty. They had elbowed our players throughout the game but the ref didn't do anything. Our goalkeeper made a mistake and allowed a ball bounce over his head and get in. After that, our opponent started wasting time using various dirty tricks. The center ref "sucked." He didn't do anything even we complained so many times.
This is our last tournament. Too bad that we didn't win it for me to get my xbox. League season started next week. We will have 2 games next weekend. We will play CZ Elite on Saturday and FC Manu White on Sunday. Hopefully we will play hard this season and win the league champion! Stay put and I will try to update it every week.

32nd Annual NHB Cup

We are playing in 32nd annual NHB cup this weekend. This is the last tournament we have before the CSL league start next week. We came from behind and beat FC Golden state 2:1 in our game. We didn't play good at our 2nd game and only manage to tie with Arsenal 0:0. At 2nd day, we won our last game for the group by beating Fram Blue 3:1.
At semi-final this afternoon, we started the 1st 15 minutes game pretty bad but managed to control the game after that. We beat West Coast FC 5-0 and I scored 1 goal!! We will have final game tomorrow against FC Golden State again. Hopefully we can beat them and be the champion. I will be very happy if we won because I can get my xbox as promised by "Da Buo"!!

New cleats - Puma PowerCat Graphic

After 3 months with my Nike Total90, I have to get a new cleats. Why? My feet had outgrowed my total90 (size 8.5). Of course, my dad was not very happy. After checking around different stores and online, I finally decide to get Puma PowerCat 3.10 Graphics. It's in silver and black color. Guess what size I have to wear this time? 10.5. The cleat looks really cool and my dad was able to get some coupon to reduce the total price.. This made both of us happy!!

Pats Cup and United Cup Champion!

I have been very lazy this whole summer. The CSL season will start in 2 weeks. Let me quickly do a recap of 2010 summer. First we won our first tournament,Pats Cup at July 24 weekend. We lost our first game at this tournament but able to recover and finally won the final against FC Manu in a penalty kicks. We were able to continue and won the next tournament, United Cup. Currently we are preparing for the NHB cup next weekend. Hopefully we will able to win this tournament. I need to work really hard and win this tournament as my "Da Buo" has promised me a xbox if we win the championship..

World Cup

We have the world cup this year. My favorite team is Brazil and I want them to be the champion. However, my dad supports England. Both Brazil and England had qualifed to the next round and I am looking foward to see Brazil play Portugal at their game and be the leader of their group. I think this years world cup is going to be very exicting to watch.

My club soccer team is currently taking two weeks break because of July 4. After coming back from break, we are going to start preparing for our upcoming tournaments. I am looking forward for these tournaments and hopefully we can win some medals...

Soccer Domination

I just joined Soccer Domination (www.soccerdomination.com) 3 weeks ago. It provides a very intense training which I am are constantly moving. The coach, Jason, teaches me a lot of different skills that are very hard. Jason makes me run with 2 parachutes across the field 3/4 times at each training. He sometimes makes me jump through hurdles. He also makes us play 1 on 1 with the other kids. I think Soccer Domination is a very good training that can teach you a lot of skills and build up your stamina. I enjoy it very much!

2nd day - Legend Classic...

I am kind of upset and didn't want to play the consolation game. However, my dad keep remind me that it's a good training for me. I have to learn to play and work harder so that I can improve myself. We were playing the other LAFC team and we ended up beating them 4-1.. I am looking forward for summer and hopefully we can win some tournments..

1st day - Legends Classic

We did good at the 1st game and beat the LAFC Academy team 5-1. This was our 1st game playing together as a team. However, the 2nd game was totally different story. We were having trouble trying to get a goal. In this game, we had 2 goals disallowed, missed 1 penalty and 3 chances with only goalie to beat. At the end, our opponent able to take advantage of our mistake and scored. We lost 1-0. I am very disappointed. Instead of playing in the semi-final, we only have a consolation game tomorrow... We need to work harder next time and try to win every game...

Legends Classic

I am playing my 1st tournament of 2010, Legends Classic. We will play 2 games tomorrow against, LAFC Academy and Beach FC. The top 2 teams will qualify to semifinal on Sunday.Hopefully, we will do good this weekend...

CSL vs LAFC

My old club, Legends FC was merged with LAFC early this year. We will play this year under LAFC (Los Angeles Futbol Club) name. However, my new club was having trouble because CSL (Coast Soccer League) "banned" us from playing in the league because our academy teams are not playing in the league. Today we got an email saying that we could play in CSL again this year I was so happy. However, we are not sure if we could play CSL next year. If we couldn't play CSL anymore, we would have to change club again.


I just got my new practice uniform last week. The color of uniform is blue/blue/blue or white/blue/blue. I am also happy that able to keep my old number, 10...

My new shoes!

My dad received a coupon to Dick's sporting goods for 25 dollars off. As my current shoes are getting a little tight, my dad decided to get me a new one. When we there, the Neptune blue shoe that I wanted wasn't in stock. I was a little bit down when this happened and we decided to get the white version. However, when the worker was looking for the right size for the white one, he found the Neptune blue shoe with my size, 8.5. I was so happy he found it. After the 25 dollars off it was only 30 dollars with the weight lifting gloves that my dad got. It was really a good deal and I am looking forward for more good deal from Dick's sporting goods..

My favorite football team

My favorite football team is Manchester United. When I was little, my dad made me watch football with him on the TV. After a while, I found out my favorite football team is Manchester United. Although my dad tried to make me support his favorite team (Liverpool), I still like Manchester United.



My favorite player in the world is Wayne Rooney. Rooney scored 25 goals this season so far. I hope he doesn't get injured so he can help England qualify to the World Cup finals. However, I want Brazil to win the World Cup because Brazil is my favorite international team. I am looking forward to watch the World Cup in South Africa this year, of course through TV only.

How I start to like or play soccer

I started to play soccer because my dad loved soccer. He made me go to Glendora Football Club academy when I was five. I started liking soccer so my dad let me play two years of Glendora Youth Soccer and American Youth Soccer Organization when I was six and seven. One day a Legends FC club coach, Coach Wolf, called us and asked if I would come tryout for the U9 team. We went and I made it! Our team was third place that season. The second year I continued playing for Legends and my coach was Coach Shaun. We also got third place. However, we did good in the State Cup and went into the semi-finals but lost 2-1. This year is my third year in club soccer and it is the first year we play 11v11. I hope we will do good and be the league champion for the first time.

Welcome to my soccer diary! I will start recording my soccer adventure. I have been playing soccer for 4 years since I was six years old. I first started playing soccer in Glendora Youth Soccer, AYSO, and then eventually join Legends Football club. I really enjoyed playing soccer. My goal is to continue to growth as a soccer player and eventually play at professional level. I will try to keep my diary up-to-date to record my journey to achieve my goal.
